New Beginnings Restaurant: Your Destination for Breakfast & Brunch in Grand Rapids

Nice place to eat a good meal, or visit with friends over coffee. Friendly staff, I eat breakfast here often, always good. Always clean. Third egg is free so added plus. Hamburgers are really good size and tasty. Reasonably priced. Lots of room so seating isn’t a problem.

The service was extremely excellent, We odered the Bacon Chesseburger with extra crispy curly fries and a Chicken Grill Sandwich with potato chip

Been a regular for years. Zero to no turnover with servers. They do a wonderful job! I always get breakfast and the servings are large and the food is good. Lots of diverse patrons, which I like! Its my "Cheers", where everyone knows my name. Great place great people!!

First of all, order off of the Special menu. The Smokehouse Omelette w potatoes was the most perfectly prepared breakfast I can recall. The cooks were spot on with it, from the crispness of the hash browns to the proper amount of cheese to egg omelette ratio. Hillary our, waitress was the perfect complement to the perfect breakfast as she handled our medium sized Saturday morning group with ease & grace. Not a wrong move was made by all. TLDR: a west Michigan staple diner, is never actually visited one! Typical (homey feeling) diner food, with a typical diner feel, great customer service, and after talking with our (super friendly and nice) server, we were made aware of how great the local chain treats its staff! We got coffee, and he ordered the oatmeal with a side of bacon and a side of extra crispy sausage. I ordered 2 eggs, toast and jam. Overall a good experience.

NBR is consistently good. You don't go there for fancy or inspiring atmosphere but the food is straight-up-the-middle American fare, solidly prepared. The servers are quick and wonderfully pleasant. One of the best locations for breakfast in the GR area.

We stopped in on a Sunday, lunch time, staff was friendly, and we received our food in a fast amount of time, given the place was packed. Everything was warm and comfortable. The food was good (which matters most).

Sue was an absolute delight! Request Sue when you visit. She's attentive and caring. Your cup of coffee will not be empty until you ask her to stop! She is friendly and warm. She walked over to our table and smiled Bonus!! We will be back to visit Sue again. The breakfast was delicious. I had the Greek omelette. Great choice if you love feta cheese. They don't have a lot of gluten free options but it works. I could pick and choose what I could eat comfortably. The restrooms could use more care and cleaning, but I loved the retro 70's era tile matched with the red brick floors.
